Summary: Long story short I don’t know what else I should’ve expected from a motel. No one at check-in, filthy sheets, mismatched hangers that came from Ross or Marshalls for guest use. No one was in the office at 7 PM when we arrived for check-in. There was a sign on the door that said call for Assistance. And when we called that number, we could hear the phone ringing in the office. Eventually, someone did come to get us checked in and on a positive note. She was very friendly and helpful. The room may have been updated, but the work was definitely shoddy. Someone else’s hair was waiting for me in the shower as well as their maxi pad wrapper. I can forgive that and exchange for the fact that the water pressure was good and the shower was hot. However, when I turned down the covers for bed, what I found on one bed was sheets that looked as if they had never been washed with pillowcases to match. Thankfully, the second bed seemed clean enough to sleep in and at that point I was so exhausted that my body gave in. Dunnellon beautiful and I will definitely return but I know for sure I am not a motel girl.
