We rent two stylish apartments in a former 100-year-old school building in the middle of the Emmental at almost 1000 meters above sea level. You're looking now at the bigger appertement. If you like animals and nature, this is the place for you. The house is in front of the forest and you have a fantastic view from the Jura to the Alps. If you really want to relax, you can also order dinner and we bring it in the apartment if you wish.
Within walking distance from the house, there is a farm with cows and a cheese dairy where you can buy fresh dairy products every day. There are more shops in Signau Dorf and in Langnau (10 or 15 minutes away by car). Anyone who appreciates country life and nature is in the right place here.
There is no public transport to the Höchi. Arrival is only possible by car. Around our house there are numerous hiking and biking trails across fields and through the forest. Langnau is the next larger town with various shops, restaurants, cafes and cultural events. The cities of Bern, Lucerne and Interlaken are about an hour's drive away. There are two ski lifts nearby, but they are only open when there is enough snow. Safe ski areas are Snowparkeriz, Marbachegg and Linden about 30 minutes away, or Soerenberg about 1 hour away. In summertime it is a fantastic area for hiking.
