Positive: The hosts welcomed me upon arrival to join them on the patio where I wound up having dinner, prepared artfully by my host, and ringing all my bells! I travel to experience local cultures, particularly regional foods. Roti had been on my list for this location, and without knowing that, it was on the menu, and OMG! I'm a fan! Alongside he served one of the most intense and delicious salads, local elements I'd never think of putting on one plate, but under his direction, a symphony. Of course, there was a protein course, what I would describe as a chicken scallopini, so tender and creamy, yes, it melted in my mouth. Portions were overly generous - I requested leftovers for breakfast - and got them with a sunny side up egg! The actual facility is beautifully representative of the region, the room small, the bed comfortable, the bathroom efficient!

Negative: I arrived in Langnau by train and not speaking German, didn't realize that what I thought was the name of the hotel was just a term meaning "hotel outside of town"! Lucky me, the bus driver kept enquiring until the name of the particular hotel came to light, and he said it was his first stop and "get in"! It is 10 minutes by bus out of town, would have been a $25 taxi without the bus drivers help, and guests should know when booking! It's not a problem, if you know! Otherwise- highly recommend!
