Summary: The Altstadt is truly special and one of a kind. It’s like staying in your own private art museum. But it isn’t stuffy, not one bit. They serve a cake and candy tea each afternoon to their guests! There’s a secret roof terrace with snacks! The staff is absolutely top notch, the warmest and most helpful folks ever. They will give you fantastic recommendations for local restaurants and shops. And it’s remarkably quiet given that the hotel is less than a half mile west of the Museums Quartier and the Hofburg. PS the beds are perfect. Not too firm and not too soft. PPS Seriously the place is a treasure. The schatz kammer should be jealous.
