Positive: it was a perfect space for a family of 4 and then we had 2 more joining us on for a few days and we were able to get another apartment so that we as a family could stay close Ski in the local village is 5 mins by walk although the time we arrived the snow was melting away and it had closed and hence we had to drive to a near ski location at Anaberg which was 20mins from the house. Some really nice hikes in the locality and around. Limited options to dine in Mitterbach but Mariazell which is 15mins away has a lot of fanstastic restaturants. Having a car makes it far easier land lady is an amazing host and extremely responsive and also with the help to ensure the stay is very comfortable

Negative: We arrived here in late Feb'24 and the snow was melting away. hence not quite the winterland (excepting when it snowed a couple of days during the stay). So look up the weather and if skiing is what you are about then plan a bit earlier in the season for this part of austria in general . otherwise some really nice downtime and good time spent with the family !

Summary: perfect space for a weekend getaway for a family of 4. Scenic and peaceful
