Hello dear guests,
my wife and I have been running this holiday apartment since September 2019. We bought the farmhouse in 2016 and have invested a lot of work and love into it since then. Eicherscheid and the surrounding area invite you to quiet and relaxing days in the Eifel and is particularly popular with hikers and nature lovers.
The farmhouse, with a stable and barn of approx. 400 m², was completely expanded in the 80s and used as a family house. In October 2016 we bought the property and completely renovated it. We currently use the barn and barn privately. The old living area (approx. 100 m²) was also completely renovated and converted into a holiday apartment. The special charm of the apartment is the mixture of old and new. In this way, the old wooden staircase or half-timbering could be preserved and integrated into the newly renovated apartment. The low ceiling height also gives the country house style furnished apartment a certain flair.
The apartment is located on a street with little traffic in town.
In the village itself there is a village shop "Konsum" where you can buy everything you need. There is also fresh bread and rolls, as well as cold cuts freshly packed by the butcher. In the neighboring towns of Simmerath and Imgenbroich (both approx. 5 km away) there are also various discounters and shops as well as numerous restaurants and bars.
Two playgrounds are located in the immediate vicinity (approx. 300m).
Eicherscheid is known for its many hedges in the village. The Flurheckenweg is particularly popular with visitors. But many other hiking routes can also be started from Eicherscheid. Further information can be found on the Internet, is available in the apartment or you can get it directly from us.
